Meleageria daphnis (female)
Pyli, Prespa Lakes, extreme north-west Greece, July 2015 Altitude: 898 metres Nikon D800E / 200f4micro ISO 100 1/13 f/16, MLU, tripod One of my favourite european blues. Pretty exotic from a UK perspective (not a native species here!) Taken on a morning where I was at first cursing my luck since it was overcast and rain was threatening. But I found a spot with a profusing of butterflies - a small roadside area with over 30 species present (imagine more than half of the UK species in one small place all at once...), and found some nice individuals perched nicely waiting for some warmth. Thanks for looking! Dave Last edited by CactusD on Fri Jul 24, 2015 2:18 am, edited 1 time in total. |
