The potted plant was rather expensive, probably never should have been sold in my neck of the world (they died within three months despite heroic resuscitative effort), but put on quite a show while they lasted. They have small clusters of flowers and buds with a very pleasing orange color, but I like my B&W images of them better.

Single off-camera flash with a textured black background that suggests the depth of color.

Hi

A nice b&w take upon this lovely plant - I would have thought these should been quite hardy, but they are a bulb and hence will have a die back / dormant period

Very nice composition and B&W processing. Beautiful.

I also have been known to buy plants mostly for the purpose of getting images of plants I would not otherwise see....
