Is the first time i get image of this kind of Robber fly , and the first time i see so large , i didn't know that there is so large  ones , notice how large is his head against the wasp head .

Nice shot and yes I don't see them this size - only much smaller types, that fellow look hornet size?

Fine image - robber flies are incredible predators. I've seen big individuals, some almost twice as long as this hornet.
