Hi all in the macro section, hope everyone's well!

A studio stack of a deceased Hornet, 150 shots (only so many because of the long antennas), the background is a Peach, the Hornet was found already dead.........so as always with these shots, it's more a study of an insect, rather than a proper nature image, but they are quite fun to do.....after you've taken all the shots, it can be quite a chore!

5DII, extension tubes, 180mm macro, reversed 50mm, artificial lighting, reflectors, plamps, cable release, focus rail, work bench, Helicon focus........Peach

Always good to see your images Steve - and this is incredible!  After several encounters with these very scary creatures over the years, I'm afraid the only ones I need to see are deceased, so don't apologise on my account........

Exquisite detail and perfect lighting- absolutely stunning!

Beautiful color, detail and light Steve, not fond of bees my self after disturbing a nest of ground bees while out in the field, I did manage to crawl back to my Jeep after a while. Excellent work.

Stunning detail and DOF result from that stack. My background in biology and chemistry often makes me lean toward the anatomical and this is incredible.
