Dahlia-fish?

My wife's been planting some new flowers on our balcony and the dahlias look stunning. So I thought I'd have a go at a macro image (something somewhat new to me)...

I was struck how some of the petals had a flat-fish like quality to them...

Samsung NX500, 60mm macro, 160th second, F16, lighting: a mixture of daylight, ring flash and backlit with my led-lenser torch.

Very much like a school of petal fish. The colors are wild - your flashlight may have made them especially vibrant.

I think this one works better by having a more uniform sharp appearance across the frame and the additional watery interest - nice shot
