One of my favorite N. American moths for its highly unusual look. When I first discovered this species in books I was amazed at how unique this animal appeared and very much desired to see one in real life. Imagine my surprised when I discovered that this animal existed in my local patch! I have since found it without fail every spring and even into summer. I never knew a moth could look so interesting.
