Larval stage of a Lacewing. They form an important link in the biological control of insects like aphids, and camouflage themselves by storing the dead bodies (after sucking out the juice) of their prey on their backs. Approximately 4mm in size.

Canon 6D, Canon 65mm MPE, f16, 1/60 sec, Manual, Twin Macro flash, Spot metering, handheld, curves and levels and sharpening.
