Free-flying Monarch on Rough Blazing-Star, Iowa County, Wisconsin.

Nikon D4, 200mm Micro, TTL flash, tripod, 1/250sec, f/11, ISO 200. No crop.

Well-done diagonal composition, the perch is lovely, fine capture of the Monarch. Great position for the butterfly and perch.

Hi

A fine composition of this excellent butterfly perch combination - I suspect you could have opened the aperture a tad and retained overall sharpness of the subject/perch at this image size, and hence blurred the surroundings a little more. But since the surrounds are already nicely isolated from the subject not a big issue

I like the background. Solid green backgrounds get kind of boring after a while. Thanks for the feedback.
