Hi

A nice shot that I like - both the flash exposure creating that dark surround and the square crop seem suited to this subject, and are combining nicely together - producing a strong looking shot. I think the flash lighting has perhaps helped in terms of adding sharp edges, often I find this subject so dew laden that details just merged together.

If I had a suggestion it would be perhaps a little more negative space all round - just to give the subject a tad more breathing space

I always enjoy viewing morning dew and this is no exception. The black and white treatment works for me. I agree with Matthew regarding giving more breathing space.

I think it would be interesting to see the natural colour version for comparison as I find this a touch too dark, but that's just me.

The effect of the droplets is lovely, like a million tiny diamonds!
