I photographed this Sanguine Poison Frog at Shiripuno Lodge in Ecuador's Amazon. There was no manipulation of the frog at all. It's as I found it.

Nikon D4, 200mm micro, handheld with full TTL flash. No crop.

f/16, 1/250sec, manual exposure mode

The red and yellow go together well. Perhaps a bit lighter on the eye?

Hi

A nice shot of this little fellow - I like the head turned pose, and although I suspect a little more DOF would have helped, I also suspect you were struggling for shutter speed

All the best
Matthew

Excellent portrait, love the low angle and the flash lighting.

I should have mentioned initially this was shot at f/16. It's a tiny frog. I wouldn't want to go any smaller with the aperture.

Thanks for all the feedback. I really appreciate it.
