One of my favourite shots of this year, and only taken yesterday!

Bodicote Churchyard (growing on top of a raised horizontal grave.
Nikon D800E/85PC-E
ISO 100 0.3" f/16
Tilted, stack of 5 frames, MFD (1:2) I think

While taking Lichen shots, I was rather taken by this two-tone moss.  The vibrant green side faces due east, away from the cold west wind blowing in from the Cotswolds.

Not a shot I would have been able to get with a standard macro lens (unless I used a step ladder!! and chose to shoot from directly overhead)

Larger higher rez image here.

Best wishes to all for the season!

Wonderful depth of field and moss details - the moss is caterpillar-like.

Hi

The details are excellent and although probably not an image I would hang upon a wall - a very accomplished one

All the best
Matthew
