Praia do Urso, near Sintra, Portugal.
Canon EOS 6D, 90mm TSE, f13, 1.3 sec, 100 ISO, polariser, tripod .
Nicely patterned sandstone rock and shells. Taken on a visit to the beach with Portuguese photographer Alexandre Vaz from NSN.

Hi

A nice simple composition that places the image elements well in the frame - the lighting is ok and works well enough, but perhaps adding a directional additional source might have help bring out more form and texture. But overall a pleasing image

All the best
Matthew

Good abstract, one thing I like is the sense of scale is lost to my eye which makes it a stronger abstract image. The lighting suggestion is well taken.

Excellent composition, lovely shells and rock patterns. Increasing midtone contrast could give the look that Matthew mentions.

Thanks for the comments all. The lighting was not something easily arranged, the light came from behind the rock, I was actually trying to shade it at times to prevent over exposure at the top of frame.
Cheers
Marshall
