Due to the recent wet weather, wild mushrooms of different species can be easily spotted especially in the forested areas. This was one of the many mushrooms that I photographed during the last 3 weeks. Someone suggested that this should be Mycenoporella sp. I welcome your C & C for improvements.

Excellent shot, very dramatic with the light against the dark. Simple but effective.

Very nice indeed -- the delicate geometric pattern of the gills makes the shot for me. To my eye the white areas are just a touch overbright. A beauty!

Love the light and perspective - shows the gill patterns really well.

Agree with all the other commenters; the backlighting works quite well with this subject and against the dark background.

Nice perspective from under the caps. And I too like the lighting.
