"Vision Quest"
Here is the first of many new images that I created this autumn. My goal for the season was to go about my photography in a deliberately patient and methodical way ... trying to create worthwhile photographs no matter the light or weather.

In this image, I focused on a pool of still water reflecting colorful treetops in bright sun. This submerged bright yellow maple leaf provided some shape, and the oil on the surface of the water some nice contrasting texture.

Canon 7D, Canon 70-200 f/4 + 1.4x Teleconverter @ 176mm. .4 second @ f/7.1. ISO 400.

Wow !!. It looks as if photo of a maple leaf is composited onto a mosaic floor. Very creative !

The flecks on the surface give this an interesting texture - pretty colors as well.

This is an interesting image, I like the colors and the effect you have created. I feel the image might be even stronger without the partial leaf at the top.
