Cosmos, Honeybee, and Crab Spider

Right below the honey bee is a crab spider lurking in the petals. I don't think the spider would have had a chance against the bee.

7D, 300mm, 1.4X tc, 25mm et, 1/250, f8.0, ISO 400

Bill, Great action (potential) captured. I would think the small crab spider is quite capable of bringing that bee down.

Flower is in good shape and from to back focus pretty good. If it was not too windy, it might have helped to shoot two more shots focussed on the spider and then blending just the spider in.

Nice behavior image - yes, the crab spider could have captured the bee, I've seen them catch bees and skippers.
Stacking or just stopping down more (F11 to F16) at a higher ISO would more spider definition.

Good colors in this image and the bee looks great. I would tend to agree with the others that the spider should ideally be in focus-at least in this instance. Still a nice behavior shot.
