I make a few of these tries every year. With some practice the output can be approximately predicted and the required shutter speed ascertained.

I used Tulips for making this abstract.

ND300s, AFS60 F/2.8 Macro Lens, F/22, 1/25 Sec, ISO100 and Handheld.
