Thynnid Wasps

From my backyard, these mating Thynnid wasps landed on a leaf and was able to snap this frame.  The female is flightless and climbs a grass stalk and emits pheromones to attract the male, who grabs her and flies off with her.   Flash as main light.

Excellent natural history image - pretty amazing gender dimorphism.
