When I was out for a nature walk I stopped in amazement when I saw this fungus.  It reminded me of ocean coral.  They are apparently edible when cooked.

Hello Missy

Beautiful specimen, and well done to get the excellent detail.

Maybe a little warming would help .

Hi

I would not advise eating any fungi unless your 100% sure of the ID - but the image is just splendid, I like the composition and frame filling presence of the subject

All the best
Matthew

Beautiful.

For sure looks like a underwater shot.

Fine composition, lovely detail and background. Spotless specimen - congrats on the find.

Matthew is right to caution you - fungi are hard to identify accurately. I'm not sure about the number of toxic lookalikes for coral fungi.
