High key capture, shooting up into the soft autumnal late afternoon sky. Critical to expose for the flower not the background. Two focus stacked images and a bit of cleaning up the background.
85L Portrait lens as usual with extension tubes so I can use f1.8 .  ISO 200 shutter speed 1/640. Hand held and manual focus.
(Are you happy Gary B that I gave my settings without prompting)

Best wishes

Jane

Beautiful feathery sepals, nice petal colors and wide open look.

Well done to get both flowers in focus. Nice techniques.

Hi

I like the exposure and look of the bloom / surround - the comp works as well, although personally I might have played a bit with rotation to get an off centre stem look

All the best
Matthew

:D Yes, Jane I'm very happy that you included the shooting data without prompting -- thanks! And I'm glad to see that you haven't lost your touch with the 85L.
