Bracted Honeysuckle

This is a berry and plant I had never seen before, but found within 20 miles of home. It is also called Bearberry Honeysuckle, Twinberry Honeysuckle, Black Twinberry and, more formally, lonicera involucrata.  They often have twinberries, thus the name. The red part behind the berry is called the bract.

Nice one - the stems and berry make an appealing design. Softer light would make it even better.

I do not recall seeing one either !! Looks very interesting. The red petals/sepals provide excellent background for the dark berry.
