Lichen-mimic walking Stick (Costa Rica)

I got, once again, very lucky to find this incredible insect! this is a lichen-mimic walking stick and this is a female as the male is a lot smaller. 
I photographed this insect in the middle elevations in Costa Rica.
I hope you find it interesting. I will be posting other images in the same series.

For this one I used

Mark IV
Canon 100mmf/2.8@f/9
tripod
ISO200
SS 1/4sec.
Two speedlites.

Wow..I would have thought this is a photo of a crazy shaped Lichen/Moss. Well seen and thanks for sharing.

Wonderful image of a remarkable camouflaged insect. Does it attach lichen (like some caterpillars attach leaves) or does if really create those growths?
