"Portrait in Grayscale"
Another image from an outing to Great Falls National Park, VA during a sunrise that fizzled out. No problem, the rocks around the Potomac River have tons of beautiful lines and shapes. I liked the subtle look of this rock. Almost like an aerial view of a lava flow.
Technical Spectacle: Canon 7D, Canon 10-22 @22mm. 4 seconds @ f/16. ISO 100. Tripod.

I agree with your assessment. Nice monochrome to keep the viewer guessing.
