Ghost orchid

I found this very rare ghost orchid (Epipogium aphyllum) in a pine forest in the French South Alps.


It lacks chlorophyl and needs a mushroom on its roots to provide nutriments. It does not bloom every year ans certain years it blooms underground.

I like this a lot. Great framing of the flowers. I also like the diagonal line. Very well done.

Love that foreground blur nicely enveloping the main subject. The Orchid looks really cool with those long tentacles like thing. Angular placement make the composition dynamic.
