Queen Butterfly, female, about 40 minutes after emerging from chrysalis. Photographed indoors.  Lighting: two 50W SoLux "natural daylight" (3500K) lamps. Please left-click for 1100px version. Thanks for comments/crits!

Fantastic colors in the butterfly. Works perfect with the dark background.
First I thought it should be moved further to the right but after looking at it a bit I think I like the center placement better!

Thank you Markus. I struggled a bit with a crop (and aspect ratio).  I just thought center crop from 4:5 aspect ratio fit my taste the best.. glad you agree!  -Mike

I like the lighting here and it looks very good for an indoor setup, very pleasing color. I also like the central placement but I would crop a little tighter if possible. Very good shot though.

Very nicely captured. What a great moment it must be watch the butterfly emerging from the chrysalis !. If this were mine, I'd check if a tighter crop would suit this better.

This would be really nice with a vertical crop. Nice colors that jump out of the image. Very cool moment to capture.
