Darner is Born

Today I was fortunate to witness a green darner emerging.    It took approximately an hour for this to happen.   The nymph was surprisingly quite a bit smaller than the adult.    

1/200 f8.0 Iso 200 with 43mm macro (86mm eq) with Olympus em1

Fine shot of this behavior, the wider macro lends an immediacy to the result I think.

I am yet to see this action in person. May be some day. Very well captured and the newness can be seen in the shine on its body like the paint on a new car.
