So glad to see these guys still blooming!  Few and far between but this summer made them happy.  It made the bees happy too -- had a difficult time with them...would rather they not be included.

The muted tones in the background really highlight the cactus bloom very nicely. Nearest petals have melted enough onto themselves and hence not distracting. Cleverly done.

I agree with the other positive comments here, good shot. I also agree with your assessment about the bee in this case but it is not that distracting.
