Another one. Kindly see the Large Version attached. For some reason Flickr is not giving me the option to link 800 pixel version. 

Nikon D300s, AFS60mm f/2.8 Micronikkor, ƒ/4.8, 1/160 Sec, ISO200, Handheld and Diffuser.

Tom, Yes. 100% of my up-close abstracts are made handheld. I cannot imagine making them using a tripod. Diffuser is held in place by a Wimberley plamp, fixed to the tripod. If the sky is overcast the plamp will be used to hold the flower if needed.
