The plant that used to put up an excellent show every year died --> perhaps could not withstand the bitter winter I suppose.

I really like the layers and colors. The crop of the thumbnail works really well because it focuses on the pattern and layers more than the rectangular crop.

Hi

A fine and enjoyable shot of a stunning flower - the colourations are remarkable. I think the hardiness depends upon the species, I have a couple of type grown as shrubs in the garden that tolerate the cold weather well, while I also grow a dinner plate sized flower type that really requires the heat and shelter of the greenhouse
