Busy at Wild Basil, Aston Rowant NNR

A lucky shot to get the bits in focus I wanted, but one which I was seeking!
Brimstones never open their wings when perched, so this is the only way of seeing their uppersides.

Cheers!

This is like a dream scene, I almost expect a fairy to flutter in! Very nice Dave - and different.

Exciting image - the curled proboscis and wing detail look great, so does the motion blur.

Absolutely fantastic shot, luck or otherwise. The point of focus really makes this super special, Dave. And anything captured in flight is quite an achievement by itself and when its this good, its really eye catching.

Love the detail and the motion blur of the wings.
