A fly like insect (would love for  help with identification of anyone knows, my knowledge of insects and the like is not the best) flies up to a plant illuminated by back lighting from the setting sun. Its an experimental shot, was out shooting birds, what do you guys think?

The web and backlight make a for a nice image design - I like the halo around the fly. I have no idea about ID - there are too many fly species, I just know a few.

Thanks Tom, still getting into all the macro/intimate landscape stuff. But it is insanely fun, love it just as much as Landscapes which are my usual thing, and even Wildlife which I am also still getting into. I guess we will just leave it as A fly wit no ID.

Hi

It would indeed be a brave soul who offered an ID from this view - but then I don't think the ID really matters, the light usage and colourations spotlight this littler flyer beautifully - a nice shot

All the best
Matthew

An interesting and different view that works nicely. Way too small in the frame for an ID though.
