The Big Mayfly

This is a Hex mayfly.   It is common on rivers and lakes  that have  silt or mud as their base. Its larvae require this kind of environment.

A cool shot of this fellow and a good close up view - perhaps a more paralleled angle would have helped in overall subject sharpness

Nice magnification and a great low angle shot. Have seen these a few times but never managed to make a photo
