Just Lotus

Cloudy, windy, rainy day at Kenilworth Gardens, just on the edge of Washington DC. It is known for it's Water Lilies and Lotus flowers. 
Isolated just one flower against the gray sky, high SS to try and get it in focus.

D3s, 70-180 Nikon Micro Zoom, f 5.6, SS 1/2500, ISO 3200, tripod.

Very nice shot of the Lotus against the light blue sky. I was wondering about the high ISO and the SS but then I read about it being a windy day. It makes sense.

Love the textures in the petals and also thinking if a vertical orientation for display might have been better compared to landscape,.
