Nicely parallel to the flower petals, an appealing soft look from the wide-open aperture.

Thanks All,

This was hand held/spot metered/manual focus/ and it was bright and sunny so I was a little hesitant since I'm not up to par with most here -- and learning -- but it was surrounded my lots of other foliage. The underground is soil and the bloom sort of stemmed away from the rest of the plant which is why it looks like it is floating. You can barely see the stem underneath. It does make me happy! :)
