....Skunk cabbage that is. This is a plant that grows in marshy places in my area. My understanding is that it produces a chemical reaction that allows it to warm and break through the snow.
I apologize if this blurs a little bit between flora and landscape. I attempted to capture this plant in a variety of ways to isolate it. Ultimately the wide shots were the only ones that worked. Olympus EM1, 8mm Fisheye, 1/25 @ f22, iso 200 Thanks for looking! Kevin Feenstra
