I have an Epson 2200 and Epson 3800 installed at home. I use a Quad-core PC on Windows XP SP3. The 2200 is connected with USB, while the 3800 is on my network. I can see my remaining ink levels on my 2200 and used to see them on the 3800 connected to the network (always has been). It seemed to have changed at some point in the past with either a printer driver update or a printer firmware update.

It's not the end of the world, as I've been working with it that way for some time now. I seemed to have seen something about it on this forum about a year ago. I did search the printing forum before posting this question. I read some Epson printer status monitors will not show on a network printer (based on results of that search), but this one did from the first install.

I did try to reinstall the older printer driver with printer after removing the printer from the control panel first. Any ideas for me to try now? Tried and true solution to this one? I'm computer savvy, but this one has eluded me.

Which version of the 3800 driver are you using?

Usually, doing an uninstall of the driver, followed by a fresh driver install and network setup will allow you to see the ink levels via the Status Monitor.
