Off the East side of Oahu, this island is named Chinaman's Hat. The Hawai'ian name is Mokoli'i (little lizard)

Chris: I like the scene and I especially like the water color. Makes me want to jump in. The light is pretty flat but so it goes. I also like the tree and rocks on the right side and wonder what's further to the right and if a camera angle pointed more that way would work too. Finally, if you have the latest version of Lightroom the new Dehaze filter could bring out some definition in the BG hills.>=))>

Thanks for the critique. The light was very harsh and I found it difficult to bring up the shadows. The shoreline here is lined with the little trees and there are only a few breaks like this one. The background haze is vog from the big island. I will work on this file in Capture and see if I can get the background to co-operate and get more detail in Mokoli'i.

I also see that this is very soft compared to the original file.

Chris;
As noted, it seems soft and a little crunchy as presented here.
Nice pretty scene though...

Hmm crunchy? Does this help (below)? I find it very difficult to both soften the harsh light and bring up the haze from the vog. I did forget to resharpen after resizing the image. I am of course less skilled at post processing than many here.
