Was able to spend 5 days in Moab. What an area. Arches NP and Canyonlands NP are simply amazing. Of course had to check off a few icons and this was one. Mesa arch on a 16 degree day with about 10 other photogs there (I thought there would be many more). Canon 5D3, 16-35 @ 22mm, iso 100, F18, 1/15th s. Really cool to actually see the glow in person.

Steve: No matter how many times I see a shot of this arch it never gets tiresome. Great timing, great light and a great comp. My only siggestion would be to try to tame the flare spots but they are small price to pay for such a fine shot. Most excellent.>=))>

Nice look in the opposite direction of most photos. Nice starburst due to f/18.

A great image, icon or not. The snow and sunburst really add to the mood. I'd clone out some of the orbs of flare if it were mine.

Between late November and late January there's usually a pretty good chance to have that place all for yourself, save the holidays.

Refreshing to see a shot in the other direction instead of the standard composition with Washerwoman in the distance.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
