Beautiful earth tones and soft brushed quality and I love the way my eye is gently drawn through the trees to the glimmer of light in the top right. Lovely image John!

This is really cool. You've made a few of these "in camera" abstractions and all of them have worked really well for me. I've tried this technique a few times and the results were not very good. I don't think most people realize how tough it is to pull this off let alone make it really good... and this is really good. There is so much depth here and the juxtaposition of the light tree in the foreground at opposite angles from the rest of the trees makes it really stand out. Also, compositionally the tree in the foreground (lower left) is nicely set off by the window of blue in the upper right. The tan on the bottom half contrasts nicely with the green above. This should be printed HUGE and put in the entrance to a business.
