This coronal aurora display was shot during the St Patrick's geomagnetic storm.
To get a sense of the incredibly epic scale of this display, see if you can find the Big Dipper in this photo.

The EXIF data is embedded in the image. Maybe the website developers can build in a feature to parse that data and display it in the post... someday... sometime... maybe.

Lens: 14mm-24mm f 2.8

Focal Length: 14mm
Exposure: 6 sec, f2.8 ISO 800, Manual, Spot Metering

This is just awesome! Your title is perfect and the image spectacular. Thanks for the suggestion to find Ursa Major, it really does put this into perspective!
