Soft Tahoe

The smoke and haze from the wildfires in the Sierra Nevada are the worst I remember seeing. They make great pastels when the sun is low, though. This one is probably as close as one can get to creating a watercolor with a camera.
Looking south along the east shore (Nevada side) from Sand Harbor toward South Lake Tahoe.

A7, 100/2 ZE @ f/5.6
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Nice colors and layers.
Consideration to a slight crop from the top to eliminate the upper most cloud band (the one in the top left corner)?

Actually, this wasn't "making lemonade". When I saw the smoke and haze rolling into our area I decided to go up to the lake around sunset, because I expected something like this to happen. I wanted this image and I got it.
