Outside of Crested Butte there is a Beaver Pond where we first went to take a look.  The sky appeared ominous but beautiful  I set up my tripod with the 5
D Mark III and the Canon 11-24 mm lens when the rainbow appeared reflected in the pond.  the reflection disappeared as soon as the raindrops hit the water, and I was lucky to have had time to make a few different compositions.  II am happy to have had that lens as it was the only one capable of capturing both the rainbow and the reflection in one exposure.
ISO 320, 12 mm. f/13, 1/13 sec.

An absolutely gorgeous shot. Did you get one without the foreground showing the complete rainbow in reflection?

I couldn't get the entire circle without moving back and getting some foreground in it, EJ. maybe I might have if the rain didn't start and ruin the reflection.

I might have if the rain didn't start and ruin the reflection, EJ.  It all happened so fast.
