On my way up 395 a couple of Sundays ago I saw the clouds in the sky over the Alabama Hills and I had to make a quick stop at this arch that no one has ever shot before (ok do you get the sarcasm dripping all over the place?). I liked the way the clouds seemed to mirror the curves of the arch and I felt black and white works a little better since the light was midday.

Nice angle and perspective. Black and white seems perfect to me in this shot! Very beautiful Steve!

The curve of the arch does mirror the clouds. I too like the shadow with the bands of the BG.
