Oak-Savanna prairie

Although Minnesota is land of 10,000 lakes, one of my favorite eco systems to visit is prairies and they are just now starting to hit their peak color in this part of the state.

I do love the colors and how the layer in this fine image. The composition works very nicley. I imagine, the larger files must contain oodles of detail. On my monitor the sky looks to have a slight green tint to it.

Simple, yet nice sceen with good colors. I also see the sky a bit dull, as Peter mentioned.

I can image walking through this field, the smell of the flowers and the warmth of the sun would be a joy.

Wow, that section is full of flowers. I like the mix of prairie, trees and sky.
