Very nice indeed. Perhaps I might like a little more tonal separation between the topmost leaves on the tree and the rock behind, but super as is.

Certainly a beautiful spot - maybe it's my raging eyes, but I feel it's quite bright. Darkening may boost the sat a fraction and make it more contemplative and somber, rather than youthful, exuberant and energetic!

Perfect title. Nice angle on this display of defiance.

This really benefits from clicking on it to bring in the darker surround, and I think its a fine view of this survivor!

I'm interested in these recent comments about brightness. I'm using a calibrated MBP with brightness set at half. This works well for my processing and printing style, and for the majority of images I see on here; I don't find this *quite* as bright as some do.

Excellent find of desert tree in its own little world.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
