Thousand Island Lake sits in the Ansel Adams Wilderness between Mts. Banner and Ritter in the heart of the Eastern Sierra. The area is a destination for many backpackers but I never have felt crowded there. Early Morning is one of the best times to be there as the sun slowly lights up the setting in shades or yellow, orange, red and gold.  A wilderness named after Ansel Adams has to be nearly perfect -- and it is.

Glorious landscape in some very nice light. My only real criticism is the distant ridge line appears too sharp. It is natural for landscapes to recede into the distance and become softer and more diffused. It can be a very powerful processing tool to soften the distant areas a little to create that impression of depth.

Glorious image and I am being critical in the sense of a forum context!

Nice scenery, but it appears a bit harsh for this time of the day. Also, I have heard about yellow snow, but never actually seen it before...
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Gorgeous shot. It does have a bit much yellow in it as the sky is shifted towards aqua.

A nice scene. I'd be tempted to get rid of a bit more of the sky which to me doesn't add much

Agree with the above comments. Adjust the white balance, so the shaded snow is white, maybe tone down the blue in the sky, and crop it down a little, then you have a well done classic shot.
