Mt Assiniboine - Autumn 2014

Hi all,

I'm finding myself leaving it longer and longer after returning from trips to actually work the images. Of course, I will dive into a few that really stand out as soon as I get home, but others, like this one have taken time for me to visualise where I want to take the image.

I finally got around to this one this week, 10 months after it was taken.

One of those serendipitous mornings - out by the lake with Adam Gibbs and Paul Zizka - (a couple of fun shooting companions) - and the conditions started great and got better. I know I could go back there a dozen times, and doubt if it would be as good - so I won't!!

Cheers everyone...

I always open your images with a sense of anticipation Alister - and you never disappoint!  Just gorgeous, the composition, light, atmosphere, mood .........  I can lose myself in this magical sensory experience for quite a while, you carry on and don't mind me.......   8)

Wonderful! So much to enjoy here. The illumination of the foreground grasses really tops it off for me.

You are definitely exploring a new look in your photography of late and I like it. It would be interesting to read about what processing approaches you are taking these days.

Superb image in that classic Ali Benn style. I love the atmosphere. The light on the hoar frost and distant peak really takes my eye on a visual journey.

A striking image as always Alister -- the glowing foreground sharply defined makes a perfect combination with the peak in distance. It's good to see your work here again!

Just awesome. The tuft in the foreground really helps put perspective on this scene. Awesome atmosphere, and beautifully composed and photographed.

Great image to start with, and the glowing spot on the foreground grass makes it a brilliant one.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
