This image was taken on a wilderness lake in Northern MN, there was a small little waterfall exiting this lake and when I saw the Wild Rice laying in the water towards the flow of the water and the great clouds, I got my camera in and low in the water to take this three dimensional image.

Pretty scene John, really like the way the FG leads the eye through the scene. Very nice to say the least.

This is how an ultra-wide should be used in landscape photography. Too often I see super wide angle shots that should never have been taken with such a lens leaving just a super wide scene with no detail anywhere and no real subject. Really well done.

Excellent use of the 14mm to dramatize the flow of the plants and fill the foreground. I love MN wild rice-a friend sends me a care package of smoked wild rice from time to time.
