Planetary conjunction made yesterday on the "El Silencio" beach.
Canon 5DIII, Nikkor 50 mm f1.8@f4, ISO 400. Manual fusion of two images with 180 seconds of exposition one of them with star tracking and processed with LR. Please see large version

Beautiful foreground, and I love the reflections on the water. It was too cloudy here to try anything serious.  You've inspired me for the next opportunity.

You got a wonderful starburst on Venus. Was that why you stopped down to f/4, or was it for image quality in the corners? (Or all the above?)

What are you using for tracking?

Venus and Jupiter will be in very close conjunction tonight.
