Please view in shadowbox. The skies have really been lousy here in NW Vermont. In the last 4 weeks we have had one crystal clear night, but it was during the full moon. Last night, it was almost clear. There was a thin layer of high altitude clouds that diffused the light from the sky, however I have felt so pent up over the last month that I decided to image anyway. Found in this image are NGC 7000 (The North American Nebula) and IC 5070 (The Pelican Nebula). The cloud layer created a fog filter, which really made the stars jump out in this image. Even though I would have traded this for perfectly clear, I kind of like it. Unfortunately, I was only able to shoot for an hour before the really thick clouds came in an obscured the sky completely. I will be revisiting this target soon hopefully. What do you think? I posted about this on my Blog. There are some closeups and a sightly wider crop as well. You can find it here: http://www.whitephotogallery.com/index. ... 0-ic-5070/ Chris White
