The icy shores of Lake Superior north of Duluth yield some fantastic opportunities for photography. This was taken from down in a gully and going up at the time of year when the sunrise lined up with the cavity in the rocks.
If you haven't done this in the past, be sure and wear some type of traction over your boots, I prefer Yak-Trax as the shores are covered in snow and ice. Nikon D300 - Sigma 10-20mm F/4 |
